CBD Oil and the Benefits

CBD Oil and the Benefits

Cbd oil, or cannabidiol, is a derivative from the cannabis plant. Most, and in some cases all, of the THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) content has been removed from the oil during the processing of it. This means that cbd has little to no chance of producing the high that marijuana is known for. The removal of the THC also produces less of a chance of the negative side effects such as anxiety and even paranoia.

Its Various Forms

CBD oil can be found now in the form of vapor to be smoked or inhaled. It can be infused into various forms of food to be ingested. The oil is also found in different lotions, and is even in capsule form for an easy to take supplement. This oil and many of the byproducts of it are now legal to be sold and used in 15 different states.

So far cbd oil has been proven to have many medicinal uses. For years the scientific community has put cbd through many types of health related tests. It has shown promise in helping with the treatment of pediatric epilepsy. In one study the patients were given an enriched form of cannabis oil after they were found to be resistant to other forms of treatments. 84% of the children in the study were reported to have a reduction of seizures after 3 months of treatment while two of the participants became completely seizure free.

Its Positive Effect On Health As Per Studies

The oil from the cannabis plant has also been studied and tested for its help with anxiety and sleep disorders. In one study a young girl was given the oil as she displayed anxiety problems. At a very young age the child was abused and has since been coping with a post traumatic stress disorder. In this study the girl had a steady decrease in anxiety levels as well as a marked improvement in her sleeping habits.

In 2015 the International Cannabinoid Research Society reported its findings on how CBD works to help with a giant list of health issues. It was tested and proven to help with problems such as kidney fibrosis, eating disorders like anorexia, metabolic syndrome, and even with osteoarthritis. The oil has been shown effective in helping people to overcome an addiction to substances such as actual marijuana. It has also been shown to help relieve nausea and suppressed appetites, which could be useful for patients who undergo chemotherapy treatments. Crohn’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis are two major conditions that cbd has shown promise in helping to ease the side effects of. Cannabidiol however is not good for things like cardiovascular issues or heart conditions.

To Conclude

With all of the new testing and data on the benefits of cannabidiol it gives hope for the future medical world. Before attempting to take the oil it is highly advised for people to consult with a physician before doing so. While the oil is safer than smoking marijuana is it still has some side effects and could create complications for those who are on certain medications.
